DEXTECH | Free Fast Public DNS Servers List (Update!)

- The most basic task of DNS is to translate hostnames.. In very simple terms, it can be compared to a phone book. DNS also has other important use such as email routing.

- This is my list of better, fast public dns servers and free dns server (as compare to your ISP / DSL / ADSL / cable DNS service providers dns servers). These dns servers are free to all. I was able to improve my browsing speed with following DNS servers. Use any one of the following provider.

*we highly suggest that you flush your DNS resolver cache and web browser caches to ensure that your new DNS configuration settings take immediate effect.

  How to Flush Local DNS Resolver Cache 
  • Cache flushing helps solve many networking problems including erroneous DNS resolution. We suggest that you flush your DNS resolver caches after setting up OpenDNS to ensure that your computer uses OpenDNS as it's DNS resolver.
  • The local DNS resolver cache of your operating system can be flushed by running the following commands from the command prompt or command line.
Alternatively, restarting your computer flushes your DNS resolver caches.
 Windows Operating Systems :
  • ipconfig /flushdns (Windows users may need to run the Command Prompt 'As Administrator' in order to use this command

  • Cache flushing helps solve many networking problems including erroneous DNS resolution. We suggest that you flush your web browser caches after you have changed your DNS settings or filtering settings to ensure that only your most current network settings are used by your computer's web browser
